1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SafetyArena, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are using SafetyArena on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must notify us immediately at legal@safetyarena.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3. Acceptable Use

SafetyArena is designed to assist functional safety engineers with structured safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Important:

• SafetyArena outputs are intended as engineering aids, not as certified safety cases
• Results generated by the Platform must not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical decisions without independent validation by qualified safety engineers
• AI-generated suggestions require human review and must not be accepted without professional engineering judgment

4. Intellectual Property

• Your data: You retain all rights to the safety analyses, project data, and other content you create on the Platform. SafetyArena does not claim ownership of your data.
• Our platform: The SafetyArena software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by SafetyArena and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.
• Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Platform, we may use it to improve SafetyArena without obligation to you.

5. Disclaimers

• Safety metrics (RPN, Action Priority, SFF, PMHF, diagnostic coverage) computed by SafetyArena are estimates based on the data you provide. They are not certified safety analyses.
• The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• AI-powered features rely on third-party providers and may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. All AI outputs should be reviewed by qualified engineers before use.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SafetyArena and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Platform or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Your data will be retained for 90 days (per our Privacy Policy) before permanent deletion, during which time you may request an export.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SafetyArena after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
